plate with Imari style decoration, pattern number 967 "Candlelight", iron red and cobalt with gilt highlights, 6-7/8 in., [crazing;] covered sugar bowl, swirled body with cobalt and gilt borders, 5-1/4 in., [surface wear to rim and other raised areas, star crack in glaze on base;] lizard bottle with cover, cobalt and gilt vermicular pattern with raised white bird with sprigged crest of goose standing on a smoking pipe, painted in red on base "2123", circa 1820, 4-1/4 in., [minor losses to gilt rim, chip on unglazed underside of stopper, otherwise excellent condition,] (for similar example, see Leonard Whiter, [Spode,] Praeger, New York, 1970, page 220), early 19th century; with cup, gilt and iron red borders, unmarked, 2-1/2 in., [wear to gilt on rim.] Provenance: Dorothy G.
