Superb albumen image of what appears to be a Ponca husband and wife in tradition dress, except for the husband's giant Christian cross around his neck, law enforcement badge on his vest, watch chain and obvious fraternal organization sword in his left hand. Stamped Mistic Studio, Fonca City, OK. Handwritten (and misspelled) "Bawler warior, indian Polier, Ponca Indians" to reverse. 5.5 x 4 inch image, 6.5 x 4.25 inch card backing.

Very good condition, normal age tone and corner bumps. Tiny tear to top of photo, appears to have happened before it was pasted to the card.
