Watercolour and colour crayon on structured vellum with watermark 'P.M. FABRIANO'. 47,8 x 67,2 cm. In the right lower corner signed with artist's initials in red crayon and dated.: CR 33. Reverse side with illegible round stamp. Paul Vogt, Christian Rohlfs, Aquarelle, Wassertemperablätter, Zeichnungen, Recklinghausen 1988, Nr. 33/53. Regular tax. Blossoms are predominant in Rohlfs' works and have often been commented on. He painted the rich variety of flowers he saw in his garden or in those of friends, seeing them as singular beings, big, in unusual size for paper work.

Right upper corner with some tiny holes by drawing pins.
