Executed by Carl Mand, Koblenz (fabrication number not visible), wood, black shellac polish, brass thread inlays, ornamental medal-like inlaid work of colored veneer wood, original ivory keyboard, fittings in brass, cast iron plate with floral design in relief, coated with gold bronze, screws in form of rosettes. Front-board marked: Mand-Olbrich, iron plate with list of prizes received by manufacturer and initials MO for 'Mand-Olbrich' (relief). Old glued paper label marked (among other details): Otto Guckel, Werkstaette für Klavierbau, Offenbach. Bestands-Kat. des Hessischen Landesmuseums Darmstadt: Jugendstil, Kunst um 1900, bearb. von C. The instrument is fully ready to be played; expert restoration in 2008; some technical parts like pegs, felts and strings renewed, original sounding board with repairs, tuned to standard pitch.
