Original engraved ship scene and stamped serial #12952 on cylinder, frame, trigger guard and stock. Stamped 'Address Sam L. Colt New York City' on top of octagon barrel. Engraved on handle "To Gen Frank Pierce from Col. Colt Engraved frame and barrel with acanthus leaf scrolls, fouled anchor on left side and sailing ship on right side. Engraving on bottom of barrel 'Engraving copied from original gun by Guy Leutzinger, Reno Nevada Oct 1968, Engraving by Alvin White 1968 to replicate the only Presidential presentation Colt Navy in existence as owned by the same owner, 7-1/2" long barrel, fine condition.
