Oil on canvas of cows and wood engraving of cow. 1st item - Gilt framed oil on canvas depicting two cows, one resting with farmhouse in background in elaborate gilt frame. Signed J. Birney lower left. Overall excellent condition with some minor gilt loss to inner left edge of frame and outer edges. Sight - 11 1/2" Height x 17 1/2" Width. Framed - 48 1/4" Height x 27 1/4" Width. Late 19th century. 2nd item - wood engraving of a cow and house in the background, pencil signed by artist. Wooden frame. Early 20th century.
