Monumental Leon Kroll portrait

Large oil on canvas portrait titled "Barbara, 1930" by Leon Kroll (American, 1884-1974). Signed "Leon Kroll" lower right. Oval stamp on back of top stretcher, "Estate of Leon Kroll Certified". Older label on back of top stretcher reads, "No. 95 "Barbara" by Leon Kroll 1930". In ink marker beside the Leon Kroll oval stamp, "Barbara Money". D. Wigmore Fine Art, Inc. New York, New York contemporary gallery label on back. Condition - relined with new stretchers, original top stretcher has been attached to new stretcher with various labels and writing. Blacklighting reveals minimal inpainting restoration - couple of hair strands on left side of head, a few small inpainted lines in left forearm area, and other small spots scattered (no more than 1/8" wide). Largest area of inpainting is at the right lowered foot - the tips of the toes and area surrounding it. Sight - 48" Height x 36" Width. Framed - 58" Height x 45 1/2" Width. Circa 1930.
