Description Circa 1850s. An 11" x 9" gilt edged box lovely cover, depicting a young boy riding a horse surrounded by riders and animals. There are four reversible mounts (horse to bear, zebra to rooster, etc.) and six riders become 12, (monkey to boy, sultan to girl, lord to native boy, etc.) The colors are bright and strong, the characters are imaginatively executed and the set is in near mint condition. A magnificent paper toy!
