Lot includes: ELIZABETH BARRETT BROWNING,Signature on Cut Paper, "Elizabeth Barrett", no place or date, but large, expressive writing on the back of a document, measuring over 3" long, Very Fine. Small fold runs through the center of the signature, but otherwise a perfect example. Accompanied by a black and white photo of an illustration of the writer. EDWARD BOK, American Editor and Pulitzer Prize-winning Author.Cut Signature, "Edward Bok", in dark ink, on slip of paper clipped from a typed letter, no date, Extremely Fine. Accompanied by a print photo for matting and framing. Bok was a champion of social causes, and an environmental activist in public health. THOMAS HILL, American Painter of Yosemite Valley, California. Clipped Signature, "Tho. Hill", on toned slip of paper measuring 1" x 3", Very Fine. Comes with a printed copy of a vignette image suitable for framing together with signature. At the age of 70, an art critic called Hill "the most ardent devotee at the shrine of Yosemite and the most faithful priest of the valley." THOMAS HUGHES, Author of "Tom Brown's Schooldays."
