DESCRIPTION: A small archive of signed handwritten notes and letters by Eugene and Carlotta O'Neill. Includes a 3-1/8" x 1-7/8" Eugene O'Neill namecard with handwritten note verso "Dear Monsieur Moreau: My deep gratitude for your kindness & courtesy! Eugene O'Neill". Also includes five handwritten and signed notes and one envelope from Mrs. Carlotta O'Neill to Monsieur Moreau on The Madison Hotel stationary giving thanks and praise for his food and courteousness regarding food requests. PROVENANCE: One of several autographs collected by Monsieur Paul Moreau, the chef at The Hotel Madison in New York. Also includes a clipping of Mrs. O'Neill's obituary. MEASUREMENTS: Various. CONDITION: Very mild toning and very scattered spotting overall. Overall fine condition with clear and strong signatures.
