DESCRIPTION: Four volumes of Brownie books by Palmer Cox. Includes Another Brownie Book (Our Second Book), The Brownies At Home (Our Third Book), The Brownies Around The World (Our Fourth Book), and The Brownies Throughout The Union (Our Fifth Book). First Editions. All with original color pictorial glazed boards. Profusely illustrated throughout with pen and ink drawings by the author. Published by The Century Co., New York: 1890 to 1895. MEASUREMENTS: 4to. 8-4/5" x 10-3-/8". CONDITION: Boards with some edge wear and minor chipping overall. Page with slight uniform toning. Binding broken in but intact and sturdy. All with original owner's penned name and date in the Brownie property page preceding the title page with later inscriptions by the original owner when they books were gifted to her niece in the mid-1940's. Second Book also with inscription to front endpapers with small note to upper right corner of front board.
