A MENDE CARVE WOOD FIGURE OF A STANDING FEMALE, Sierra Leone, the oval head with fine line carved double row hair style above deep inset heavily lidded eyes, over a flared protruding nose and slightly parted lips on a long neck with blockish shoulders and bent arms, supporting hands holding conical breasts, the long torso above a four ringed waist belt, raised on muscular legs and slippered feet. Height: 19 1/2".
