John Abbot and James Edward Smith, [The Natural History Of The Rarer Lepidopterous Insects of Georgia. Including Their Systematic Characters, The Particulars Of Their Several Metamorphoses, And The Plants On Which They Feed,] two volumes, printed by T. Bensley for J. Edwards (and others), London, 1797, rebound in three-quarter brown calf, title pages in English and French, 104 hand-engraved plates (all present), 16-3/4 x 13-1/2 in. Most plates clean and bright with fresh colors and only slight toning and foxing, page 54 with moderate foxing, several plates in Volume II with slightly darker cast, bindings weak and broken in several places, several plates loose, Volume I with front hinge cracked and loose.
