first edition, aquatint frontispiece misbound in text, 8 aquatint plates, one folding and linen-backed, one double-page, 7 hand-coloured, and 11 illustrations, 3 hand-coloured, 5 of the plates and 2 illustrations with overlays, a couple with slight creases, later black crushed morocco, gilt by Morrell, spine gilt in compartments with raised bands, inner gilt dentelles, t.e.g., [Abbey, Scenery 55; Tooley 396], folio, for J.C.Stadler, 1808 [text and plates watermarked 1807].
