CLOCK. Dan Delander 18th. century Georgian oak tall clock, eight day clock that chimes on the hour, the case is of the period and its' hood is topped with a pediment, the glass face underneath is flanked by columns, the base below has a plinth above a simple door with a fluted ledge and shaped skirt base, the period 12" square dial is framed with laurel, has an applied chapter ring and putti centered foliate spandrels, the dial center is finely matted and has a subsidiary second dial at the top with an engraved date aperture below, it is set with blue steel hands, tooled and pierced in a pleasing design, the square brass dial rises at the top to an arch engraved "Dan Delander, London", movement appears to be original to the face, scratched on the back of the movement is C. Welch, J. Lucas 3-1987, whom the owner notes cleaned the clock in 1987, good condition, dial 12" square, case 7' 2" t.
