Russian silver kovsh, enameled in translucent navy blue and varicolor foliate chamleve enamel over guilloched floral ground on the interior and in exceptionally finely executed polychrome cloisonne enamel against a gilded stippled ground on the exterior. Russia,Circa 1900. Of traditional form with a flat handle.Three different types of enamel. In excellent condition. Measuring 4.7/8"(12.2cm.) in length and 2 1/2"(6.4cm.) across, the kovsh weighs 2.8 oz (82 grams). Apparently unmarked.
