GUSTAV STICKLEY Rare and exceptional high-back armchair designed by Harvey Ellis with arched aprons, upholstered seat and its vertical back slats inlaid with stylized floral inlays of fruitwood, copper and pewter. (Provenance: From the home of Federal Judge James Herbert Wilkerson at no. 6448 Minerva Ave., Chicago, designed by architect Robert C. Spencer. This chair is photographed in an article in the Architectural Record, July 1905, and available upon request.) Early red decal. 44'' x 24 1/2'' x 20 1/2''
