Linford Donovan (1906–2003), oil on canvas, signed in red at lower left corner. Painting depicts Moses with the Ten Commandment tablets. Reported to have been commissioned by Cecil B. DeMille, producer and director of "The Ten Commandments" (Paramount Pictures, 1956) and "The Ten Commandments" (Paramount Pictures, 1923). Aside from being an accomplished painter, Linford Donovan also worked as a costume designer for Edith Head, who was a costume designer on the 1956 film.
