Set of twelve New York Federal carved mahogany dining chairs, nine ca. 1800 and three later 19th c. copies, comprising two armchairs and seven side chairs, each with a rectangular back centering an arched crest, the splat with a central stylized Prince of Wales feather, above a pierced urn form upright centering drapery swags, the bowed seat resting on molded square tapering legs terminating in spade feet, the armchairs on upright molded supports.

#1 - good condition, no apparent damages or repairs. #2 - repaired break where seat joins stiles. #3 - repaired break at feather on splat. #4 - repaired cracks to splat. #5 - good condition, no apparent damages or repairs. #6 - good condition, no apparent damages or repairs. #7 - good condition, no apparent damages or repairs. #8 - repaired break where seat joins stile. #9 - armchair, repair to top of splat, chip to splat on reverse. #10 - armchair, good condition, no apparent damages or repairs. #11 - repaired break where seat joins stile. #12 - good condition, no apparent damages or repairs.
