Aldine printer's device to title and woodcut portrait of elder Aldus on the verso. Half calf over marbled paper boards, spine tooled in gilt with morocco lettering label. Condition: some occasional stains, slight dampstaining not affecting text; corners bumped. Provenance: "Je Maintiendrai" (armorial stamp, twice to prelim. first aldine edition. -- CIOFANI, Herculis.
