Ella & Ira Peters Irridescent Vase-Pewabic Affliat

Ella Peters (1901-1994) was a Pewabic employee from 1938-1969. She was Mary Stratton's personal secretary until her death in 1961. She carried on much of the day to day management of Pewabic's operations from the 1950's on. Michigan State had taken over management in 1965, and she continued. She was one of the last "old time" employees. She retired in 1969, and she with her husband Ira, continued to make pieces out of their home on Chadsworth in Detroit. Vase is circa 1970's and has a coppery/red reduction glaze with a irridescent silver nitrate flambe drip. 7.75" H, signed ELLA IRA on bottom. Excellent condition.
