Straits Settlements QV 1C 1878 NGC MS61BN

Straits Settlements Victoria, Cent, 1878, (KM.9), NGC MS61BN. The Cent 1878 is one of the most difficult dates in the Straits series to find in high grades; this outstanding lightly toned coin is in our view of the highest rarity for its uncirculated grade; it is simply the best piece we have ever seen. It has some interesting small die cracks on the obverse and surely must rank as the crown jewel of any worthy Straits collection.
