OLD MASTER, OIL ON CANVAS, 47" X 35", EARLY 19TH C., FRENCH OR ITALIAN, WOMAN WITH MUSIC SCROLL:Seated figure of a young woman seated with scroll of music. In a gilt wood frame. Not lined. Small tear in center right.
Condition reportAs viewed under UV light in the unopened frame: appears to blacklight clean, but cannot tell totally because it partially turns green under UV light indicating that UV light is not penetrating the varnish; needs a cleaning; overall stable craquelure; 1 3/8" tear developing in far center right; original stretchers; period gilt frame has slight patina wear.
