Genl Granville Eliot it is a proper book to accompany Beauvain's Military history of Flanders, which contains the campaigns of the Duke of Luxembourg from the commencement of 1690 to October 1694 in two large folio vols. This manuscript is the detail of operations of the army opposed to him from 1692 in continuation of the war to 1702 as Major Genl Roger Eliot father of Genl Granville Eliot served in these wars. I rather imagine it must have descended from father to son. WG Eliot.". View Bloomsbury Auctions next auction.Similar lots up for auction |
