You are bidding on the following lot: Cleworth - 1959 Cadillac Framed Lithograph. He was born in the early 30's in the industrial North of England. In 1967 he began work at Decca Records illustrating the first album covers for THE ROLLING STONES, THE WHO, and many others. In the early 70's The Chase Manhattan Bank of Zurich bought his first original. Private collectors and major coporations soon began to commission Cleworth and his art. He was dubbed"the painter laureate of the car" and has firmly established himself as one of the worlds leading "auto-biographers. |
