Oklahoma City: Lusk Publishing Co., 1939. 8vo. Illustrated title. Original gray cloth, titled in black on the upper cover, in purple morocco slipcase. Condition: leaf between pp. [vi] and [ix] cut away; minimal shelfwear along bottom edge and trace of rubbing at spine head. first edition, presentation copy of the author's first book. Inscribed by L'Amour on the front free endpaper, "To my very good friend / George Sadler / with best wishes / Louis L'Amour." A very collectible copy of this most popular of Western novelist's first book and his only collection of poetry.
