Titled "Church Street, Sheperdstown, W VA" this work was included in a one woman exhibition held at the Alexandria Library in Alexandria VA, April 1942 and published in a newspaper article announcing the show. A clipping of this is included. Theodora Kane worked primarily in Washington, D.C. and exhibited extensively throughout the 1950s. She studied at the Corcoran Gallery in Washington and the New York School of Applied Arts and at the Paris branch of the same. She also studied in London at Saint Martin's and Westminster School of Art. This work is in good condition ready for cleaning. The canvas size is 29 x 19 and the frame which needs a bit of restoration measures 36 x 26. The exhibition booklet is also included.
