Thirteen-star American Flag, New York Navy Yard, April, 1912, the thirteen stars sewn on coarse linen in a 3-2-3-2 configuration and stenciled on the end seam in black ink U.S. Ensign No. 7 New York Navy Yard April 1912, lg. 62 x ht. 36 in.

Note: The thirteen-star flag with larger than normal stars was typical of the flags flown by the U.S. Navy on small boats at the turn of the century.

Condition: Numerous small holes and age consistent repairs.
