German Parian Lady Doll with Removable Headdress, closed mouth, fixed blue glass eyes, feathered brows, pierced ears with glass earrings, elaborate molded blonde hair held with a black ribbon, falling in long curls at the nape of the neck and adorned at the crown with gilt tiara and glass jewels, the stitch-jointed cloth body with leather arms, mitten hands, red cotton stockings and leather booted feet, in later two-piece satin day dress trimmed with black lace, ht. 13 in., (slight rub on right cheek, boots worn).

Note: An unusual design in a similar style to the parian dolls with clusters of detachable curls at the neck, this doll has two holes in the crown for the insertion of an ornament, probably originally a pressed brass band or a ribbon.
