Handwerck Bisque Child Doll, impressed Germany, Heinrich Handwerck, Simon & Halbig, 4, with open mouth, four upper teeth, weighted blue glass eyes, molded brows, pierced ears (tiny chip left), original brown mohair wig, fully-jointed composition body, period pinstriped silk dress, cotton undergarment, and later shoes and socks, ht. 24 in., (wig and costume not removed, hands shellacked, tiny black mark on left cheek).

Condition: Appealing expression and presentation. Acquired by the seller from the family of the original owner. Silk somewhat toned and fragile in places, including the right sleeve and skirt.
