(CHICAGO) CLEVELAND, GROVER A group of two documents signed as president appointing S. Corning Judd Postmaster of the City of Chicago. Both framed and matted. 20 May 1885. The first document suspends Frank W. Palmer from his office as postmaster at Chicago, and appoints S. Corning Judd in his place. The second document dated 13 January 1886 appoints S. Corning Judd as postmaster at Chicago. Both creased in quadrants; slight offsetting from the seal; bold signatures. Size of frame 16 x 12 inches each.
