In the letter, Dillinger discusses his desire to be with family at Christmas, but mentions this will be his last Christmas in jail. He goes on to press his niece for information about a current boyfriend and jokes that he may need to borrow money once he is released from the jail. Dillinger would notoriously escape from the Crown Point jail on March 3, 1934, with a fake carved gun. He was captured and shot down in Chicago, July 22 of the same year. Framed with an official wanted poster and a photograph of John Dillinger. Size of frame 27 x 30 inches.
