DILLINGER, JOHN A death mask made from a latex mold taken by a group of mortuary students at the Cook County Morgue on July 23, 1934. At least four original masks were made from Dillinger's face after he was shot at the Biograph Theatre in Chicago, July 22, 1934. Dillinger's face had been recently altered by plastic surgery. Only a few plaster molds have been cast. Framed in an archival box and mounted on a cloth-backed board. With a replica of the fake gun Dillinger used to break out of jail.
