Cape Cod Harbor Scene/Probably Wellfleet, Massachusetts. Signed and dated "Charlotte H. Scott/1938" in pencil l.r. Watercolor and graphite on paper, sight size 14 3/8 x 21 1/2 in., unframed. Condition: Foxing, taped to window mat. Provenance: Through the collection of the artist. N.B. Charlotte Harrington Scott was active in the Worcester and Wellfleet, Massachusetts areas from the 1930s to 1960s. Scott was a life-long Massachusetts resident, with the exception of two years studying in Paris, a year in Munich studying under Hans Hofmann, and a summer at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Fontainbleau.
