and Robert Swain Gifford (American, 1840-1905), Brook in Winter, inscribed "Kerr Eby imp" in pencil l.r. and "Ed 90" in pencil l.l., identified on a label affixed to the reverse; and landscape with grazing cows, inscribed "R. Swain Gifford 1888" in the plate l.r., the later framed so that the margins are not visible, (tonining, not examined out of frames).
