Presented in a contemporary giltwood frame. This charming early George Rodrigue painting depicts a group of well-dressed Acadians getting ready to play Bourre. The gambling game Bourre is a trick taking card game of French origin that is popular in Acadiana region in Louisiana. Rodrigue is a fan of the game and has a bourre room in his home.
