Andy Warhol (American, 1928-1987) "Jacqueline Kennedy I (Jackie I)", 1966, screen print in silver ink on cream wove paper, with the artist's stamped signature and numbered in pencil "186/200" en verso, from the portfolio "11 Pop Artists I", published by Original Editions, New York, printed by KMF, Inc., New York, sight 24" x 20". Glazed, handsomely matted and presented in a contemporary white lacquer frame. Reference: Feldman, Frayda and Schellmann, Jorg, Andy Warhol Prints: A Catalogue Raisonne, 1962-1987, Distributed Art Publishers Inc. in association with Ronald Feldman Fine Arts, Inc., fourth edition, 2003, no. II.13, p. 64. This print was based on a photograph of Jacqueline Kennedy that ran in "Life" magazine, December 6, 1963. The artists represented in the "11 Pop Artists I" portfolio are Allan D'Arcangelo, Jim Dine, Allen Jones, Gerald Laing, Roy Lichtenstein, Tom Phillips, Mel Ramos, James Rosenquist, Andy Warhol, John Wesley, and Tom Wesselmann.
