First Edition.The second book in prose to be written on the subject of golf (following Farnie's The Golfer's Manual), with a few instructions as well. The book was later published under the title Gymnastics, Golf, Curling, in a slightly revised and enlarged style, in 1866, and again as Golfing in 1887; the book warrants a paragraph in Hopkinson's Collecting Golf Books, "Instruction" chapter.
