Contains an absorbing history of the Bruntsfield Links, descriptions of Dutch "Kolf" and French "Jeu de Mail," the now famous sketch of "Cock o' the Green," and a reprint of "The Golfers Garland," one of the two poems added to the third edition of Mathison's The Goff. Also referred to by Cecil Hopkinson in his "Histories" section. One of the most important and historically significant golf books. Murdoch 293; D&M 1380; D&J G24070. O.M.
