John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) 35th President. The book, As We Remember Joe, University Press, (privately printed), 1945, limited first edition, edited by John F. Kennedy, signed on the first blank page "To Teresa with best wishes John Kennedy." This book was limited to 250 copies and deals with Kennedy's eldest brother Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Joe left Harvard Law School to join the Navy and served as a bomber pilot in World War II. He died in 1944 when his plane, loaded with explosives for an attack on German V-2 rocket site, exploded shortly after takeoff. He was posthumously awarded the Navy Cross and the Air Medal for heroism, both of which are pictured in the book. The covers show some rubbing. The book is otherwise clean and tight.

The condition of this lot is very good any condition issues are clearly defined in the description.
