Lot 185: 1994 Michael Jordan Scottsdale Scorpions Game-Used Complete Road Uniform with Spikes, Batting Gloves, Cap & Wrist Band (8) ___The Scottsdale Scorpions are a minor league baseball team of the Arizona Fall League located in Scottsdale, Arizona. In 1994, the team gained worldwide media attention, when Michael Jordan began his professional baseball career by joining the Scorpions. After one year, Jordan was sent to the Double-A Birmingham Barons in Birmingham, Alabama. On the left front tail is the "RUSSELL" manufacturers size 48 tag with wash instructions. Attached below is the "100% POLYESTER" flag tag. Across the front of the jersey is "SCORPIONS" in red on black tackle twill. On the back is the player number "45" in the same tackle twill. On the right sleeve is the "Scottsdale Scorpions" team logo patch. Below this is the "AVIS" team sponsor patch. On the left sleeve is the "MOBIL" team sponsor patch. In the inside waistband of the pants is the "Wilson" manufacturers size 34 tag. Next to that is the "Jordan 45 94 34 1" embroidered strip tag. In the hat is the "New Era" manufacturers tag, size 7 ¼ tag, and Arizona Fall League tag. The "Scorpions" logo is embroidered in red on the front of the cap. Included is a set of back "Wilson" batting gloves and an embroidered "35 MJ" black wristband. "Nike" manufactured black cleats with white trim. Inside the tongue is the size tag with "13.5". On the outer lip is "AIR JORDAN" in white lettering on a black embroidered tag. On the back heel is player number "45" stitched in white. Adjacent is the "Nike Jordan" dunking logo done in grey. "Air Jordan" is on both tongues. All items show game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
