Lot 216: 2002-2003 Washington Wizards Team-Signed Basketball (Jordan's Final Season) (UDA) (JSA)___With the recognition that 2002–03 would be Jordan's final season, tributes were paid to him throughout the NBA. In his final game at his old home court, the United Center in Chicago, Jordan received a four-minute standing ovation. The Miami Heat retired the number 23 jersey on April 11, 2003, even though Jordan had never played for the team. This NBA Spalding basketball features the signatures of the 2002-2003 Washington Wizards team including Michael Jordan, Kwame Brown, Juan Dixon, Brendan Haywood, Larry Hughes, Jared Jefferies, Christian Laettner, Tyrone Lue, Charles Oakley, Byron Russell, Jerry Stackhouse, Etan Thomas, Brian Cardinal, Bobby Simmons and Jahidi White. All signatures are done in black marker and rate an overall 8. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA as well as a COA from UDA.
