ink on paper 13 3/8 x 10 inches (340 x 255 mm) signed Britton, p. 239 Alex Katz is a painter, sculptor and printmaker whose works are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art and the Tate Modern in London. Known for his simplistic, or self-termed 'reductive' approach, Katz worked at a rapid pace. However, he has admitted to destroying thousands of his works, thus rendering self-portraits rare.
