JACKSON LEE NESBITT 1938 INDUSTRIAL SCENE EGG TEMPERA P

This recently discovered Jackson Lee Nesbitt (American, 1913-2008) egg tempera painting on masonite is obviously related to the Sheffield Steel Corporation commissions that Nesbitt received beginning in 1937. It measures 9.75 x 12.5 inches and is signed 'Jackson Lee Nesbitt '39 ' in white to the front lower right area. A similar image was printed in an edition of 75 etchings in 1937 and a larger work on canvas titled OPEN HEARTH DOOR was exhibited at the World's Fair in New York in 1939.

Pristine condition except for small nail holes across top, including corners, two holes to lower left and right corners from being nailed into a frame previously.
