French Percussion Gun and Dagger Cane-Mid 19th Century-A four barrel black powder pistol which is unique in that it cocks when it is removed from the shaft. When the trigger is depressed the cylinder slams backwards on a fixed firing recess and all barrels go off at once. Near the back of the cylinder are French makers marks. This is an exceptional example of this genre with an ivory handle with silver mounts on a, signed Paris Brevette silver collar, malacca shaft-H. 4 ½" x 5 ½", Dagger 6", O.L. 33 ½-$5,000-$7,000
