Tudor, Tasha. Original Unpublished Watercolor. Christmas card design, featuring a grandmother, with knitting on her lap, leaning forward and telling two grandchildren who are listening intently, "Some say, that ever 'gainst that season comes / Wherein Our Savior's birth is celebrated, / The bird of dawning singeth all night long; / And then, they say, no spirit can walk abroad; / The mights are wholesome; then no planets strike, / No fairy takes, nor witch hath power to charm; / So hallow'd and so gracious is the time." Text from Hamlet penned in Tudor's hand across upper half of card, mother and children drawn below, Rooster and hen, owl and others birds inhabit the surrounding holly garland, small cat knapping in foreground. Shinng star highlights the text, background in blue. 6 3/4 x 6 1/4 inches on a 9 3/4 x 8 3/8 sheet. **Signed lower right.** Fine condition.
