This 1980s spangled jacket was owned and worn by Michael Jackson. It is not the famous “Moonwalk” trademark, but most probably the inspiration for that famous Jackson piece of clothing. Many of Michael’s stage and video costumes were inspired by items of unusual fashion sources, from which he had the vision to elaborate on the design of that particular garment and make it his own. The military outfits, cool “Thriller” jackets, the gloves, etc. all fit that mold. This black beauty was given, with Michael’s blessing, to an employee of his management company when she left for the East coast after working for M.J. and Frank DiLeo for many years in Los Angeles. Included is a notarised letter of authenticity from the owner.
