Paul V. Ambrose and Drew J. Bauer present: This is the Standard Gauge Blue Comet Set that Lionel made in the early 1930s. This Set includes the #400E Steam Engine, the #400W Whistle Tender, the #420 Faye Coach, the #421 Westphal Coach and the #422 Tempe Observation Car. Brass Trim; the Engine has a Chugger. Our Opinion is that the Set is Generally in Excellent Minus Condition. The Engine is in Very Good/VG+ Condition, very clean but a few small scratches on top. The Original Boxes are in (8) Condition, missing a total of four inner/small flaps among all the boxes; no Insert for the Engine Box. A Great Original Set. All Original in our Opinion.
