An original framed monochrome photograph [image size 22.5 x 14 inches] depicting the British Aircraft Carrier HMS Ark Royal [circa 1938/39], the photo depicts A swordfish Torpedo plane lifting off the flight deck as a second Swordfish overflies the ship & two others can be seen in the distance. Launched in 1937 HMS Ark Royal served in most of the opening sea operations of WWII before being torpedoed & subsequently sinking on November 14th 1941. Glazed [glass cracked] & framed [frame size 24.75 x 18.75 inches] in contemporary style, A rectangular area of the photograph is "yellowed" [probably owing to being stood in the sunlight with another object placed on the glass] otherwise Good.
