ECKARDT (GERM. 1845-1906), PORCELAIN PORTRAITS, CIVIL WAR ERA, 16" X 13, FAMILY PORTRAITS:includes five hand painted porcelain portraits, four oval, (4" x 6" & 4 1/2" x 3 1/2"), one round, ( 3 1/2" Dia.) of a Civil war era family with grandfather and grandmother on top with Civil War officer lower left, his spouse lower right with their daughter/granddaughter in the center; the grandfather, grandmother and Civil War officer portraits are signed "A. L. Eckardt, Dresden"; consigner states the grandfather is believed to have been a physician and the officer possibly a major in the Indiana infantry during the Civil War; all mounted on board with a green vine design incised wallpaper type fabric, under glass in a mahogany and gilt wood trimmed shadowbox frame;
